FAQ's

Therapy generally works best when attended at least 1 time per week. Our standard session is 45 minutes, once per week.

What is the length and consistency of therapy sessions?

We provide a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to hear more about you, what brings you to therapy, and to discuss the logistics of beginning therapy (fees, scheduling, referrals if needed). If we determine that we are a good fit we will set up our first meeting, in which we will begin to get to know one another and we will learn more about your history and your hopes for therapy.

What is the first session like?

Janie’s fee is $200 per session and Jed’s is $130. We have a limited amount of sliding scale openings based on financial need and availability.  We also offer a discount on sessions for 2 or more therapy sessions per week.

How much does therapy cost?

We do not bill insurance but can provide a monthly Superbill to be submitted to your insurance company for your direct reimbursement. I suggest checking with your insurance before the onset of therapy to be sure that they cover Out-of-Network providers.

Do you bill insurance?

We are located in Highland Park on Figueroa St.  There is a small parking lot out front where you can park if there are open spots. There is also free street parking on Figueroa, Ave 53 and Ave 54. For your first appointment you can wait on the front porch near the plants and you will be greeted at your appointment time.
